ATLANTA, GA, August 8, 2009—Advanced Control Systems, Inc. (ACS) has delivered 25 Connex™ 30 substation controllers to the Jordanian Electric Power Company (JEPCO) in Amman, Jordan. The purchase of the units advances a smart grid effort that began in 2000. This automation effort began with the implementation of a PRISM™ Distribution Management System from ACS included 35 substation controllers.

Advanced Control Systems Passes ISO New England DNP3 Conformance Tests

(ACS), a leading provider of smart grid automation and system solutions to electric utilities worldwide, announced that its Connex 30 substation manager has successfully passed the ISO New England DNP3 conformance testing. The Connex 30 meets all of the Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) specification requirements as a replacement for the obsolete Remote Intelligent Gateways (RIG) currently in use by ISO-NE market participants.

Cutover to ACS’ Connex 30 solution marks a milestone as the first RIG replacement to go online in ISO-NE market
ATLANTA, GA, June 2, 2009—Advanced Control Systems, Inc. (ACS) and Northeast Generation Services (NGS) announced cutover of the first RIG replacement last week at NGS’ plant in Hartford, CT. ACS worked closely with engineers at NGS, to deliver and install the customized solution on an accelerated schedule. Under new specifications for the exchange of data with its market participants, ISO-NE has mandated that all existing obsolete Remote Intelligent Gateway (RIG) devices be replaced by February 2010.
